what i learnt at ferrymead

What I learnt about the 1850's at Ferrymead
1) children should be seen but not heard
2) if you talking in class would get smacked buy a wooden ruler or cane 
3) there was no electricity
4) fire trucks looked a lot more different than they do now than back then
5) ladies first
6) what they used to entertain themselves
7) one dollar was very valuable
8) you wouldn't get money from doing chores
9) girls had to do more chores than boys 
10) they had to create toys
11) shoes were very valuable
12) everything was hand made.
